Vicksburg
Vicksburg is a preserved ghost town located in Clear Creek Canyon that was founded by prospectors in 1861. The area became a mining hub in 1879 due to the discovery of silver, gold, and lead. The town, named after Vick Keller who operated a general store, grew to have over 40 buildings, including saloons, hotels, schools, and shops. At its peak, Vicksburg had a population of around 600-700 people, and a stagecoach ran daily from Granite to the town.
