Coalmont
Coalmont is a small, rural community located in North Park, Colorado. As you might guess it was named after the coal that was mined in the area. The town was founded in 1911 and saw lasting success due to the construction of the Laramie, Hahns Peak, and Pacific Railroad. Once the coal vein was depleted, the town disappeared with it. Some of the buildings are still in the area including the restored Coalmont School House.
