Carson
Carson is a small town located in Colorado, known for its high altitude and harsh winters. It was founded by John Christopher Carson when he discovered silver. Soon, more miners moved into the area and staked their own claims and eventually the small town was formed. Difficult access to the town hindered the development and contributed to the low population, only reaching a peak of about 500. The area had quite a bit of rich ore, in fact it is estimated that over 1 million dollars were mined. The harsh weather and depletion of ore left the town practically deserted by 1910. A few of the buildings are still intact but are difficult to reach.
