Boyero
Boyero started as a stage stop on the Golden Belt Route due to its access to good water for the stage line. The Smoky Hill Trail passed through the area and was later followed by the railroad, which contributed to the growth of the community. Boyero was a significant stop for railroad maintenance workers and became a prime ranch area, which continues to sustain the community. Today, the original streets platted out by the railroad are still visible, along with many of the foundations of the now abandoned buildings. Although the old general store no longer exists, a few smaller buildings are still present.
