Apex

Apex is a town that was founded in the late 1800s and early 1900s when gold was discovered in the area. It experienced rapid growth after a rich vein of ore was found using the last two sticks of dynamite. At its peak, Apex had a population of around 1000 people and over 80 businesses. Much of the growth of Apex came from being a suburb of Central City, which was a much bigger town at the time. It was an important hub for stagecoaches and mail delivery. A few fires over the years destroyed most of the town, but several historical structures remain in Apex.
