Ludlow


Ludlow, Colorado, is an abandoned town situated in Las Animas County. The town was a former mining camp that gained notoriety due to the infamous Ludlow Massacre that took place in 1914. The town used to be a tent city for miners and their families with a population of around 1200. Today, several original buildings and homesteads still stand, and there is a memorial for the victims of the massacre erected by the United Mine Workers of America.
