There are 4 miles of trails comprised of a few loops that take you to different parts of the site. These can be accessed via the north or south parking areas.

Castlewood Canyon State Park offers a captivating glimpse into Colorado’s history, centered around the remains of the Castlewood Canyon Dam. Witness the remnants and scars left behind by the dam’s catastrophic burst in 1933, when a massive wave of water surged all the way to downtown Denver, causing a devastating flood.
