Bonanza
Bonanza, Colorado is a former silver mining town that is now largely abandoned, with a few residents living in the surrounding hills. It was founded by Tom Cooke after he discovered ore deposits in the area, and at its peak, the town had a population of 1000 to 1500 people. The mines lasted until about the 1930s and from then on, the residents started to leave the town. Many buildings still exist but are private property.
